New for 2026: Ultralight Tamo / Fly-Fishing Frameless Nets (Small)
This summer, while talking with some friends about my growing obsession with ultralight backpacking, someone said,
“You can’t go ultralight if you’re bringing a fishing kit, too.”
Challenge accepted.
At only 48 grams /1.7 oz and built with no rigid frame, this net is a backpacker’s dream. Constructed from durable polyethylene and nylon tubing, the sections stay snug and stable while fishing—yet slip apart easily for compact, effortless packability.
I’ve been perfecting these nets for a long time, and I’m excited to finally share the refined simplicity that pulled me into Tenkara in the first place.
